Salad Mix Recall

Current investigations by the FDA and other regulatory officials have found that over 500 Americans have become sick with Cycloporiasis after consuming Fresh Express® brand bagged salad mix. Other salad mixes sold by stores such as ALDI®, WalMart®, and many others have also been found to be contaminated.

The recall includes products marked with the letter "Z" at the beginning of the product code, followed by the number "178" or lower. The product code can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the salad mix. The contaminated product is widely believed to have originated in Mexico, although health officials are still examining other sources. The salad mix was sold in many states across the country.
