The Dangers Behind Paraquat®

In 2011, the National Institutes of Health® conducted a study of farmers and found that those who used Paraquat® were 2.5x more likely to be diagnosed with Parkinson's. Additional follow up studies have also confirmed a link between Paraquat® use and the increased risk of developing Parkinson's.

Due to the dangers of Paraquat®, the EPA has recently introduced required training for certified Paraquat® applicators. Other products that contain paraquat dichloride as an ingredient may be sold under the brand names Gramoxone®, Firestorm®, Helmquat®, and Parazone®.
